John Hart’s Redemption Road!

Meet the author at this special pre-release event

Saturday, April 30th, 7:00 PM

Rowan Museum, Salisbury

JohnHartNative son and New York Times best-selling author John Hart has generously offered the occasion of the pre-release of his new novel Redemption Road to benefit The LandTrust for Central North Carolina. As a former LandTrust board member, John has long been a supporter of our conservation mission. Many of his best-selling thrillers are set in the familiar geography of the North Carolina Piedmont and reflect his immense knowledge of local history and the natural environment. John Hart has done it again with Redemption Road, creating for his characters, on paper, a landscape of the imagination that resembles the places we North Carolinians love and live. The LandTrust is proud and humbled to be part of this extraordinary opportunity.

The event will be held beginning at 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 30th at the Rowan Museum in downtown Salisbury (202 N. Main St., Salisbury, NC), which was originally built as a county courthouse—the perfect setting for a Southern mystery with legal twists and turns! Special guest D.G. Martin, host of UNC-TV’s North Carolina Bookwatch, will be the master of ceremonies.

In addition to spectacular Southern culinary delights by Divine Appetit, guests will receive a signed copy of Redemption Road. Tickets for this event are $150 per couple and $85 per individual. Additional books are $30 each.

More About Redemption Road

Redemption_RoadThe wait is now over. In Redemption Road (Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin’s Press; May 3, 2016), John Hart delivers what book critics and avid fans have come to expect—brilliant writing, complex and compelling characters, and a gripping plot packed with stunning twists and family secrets – plus more. Set in small town North Carolina, this eagerly anticipated novel features Hart’s first female protagonist: Elizabeth Black, a dedicated, driven, and deeply troubled detective. A preacher’s daughter, even though she’s estranged from her father, Liz has always been respected for her instincts, judiciousness and restraint. That is, until a brutal shooting – and doubts from her past – shake her up and turn her edgy, dark, and unpredictable. Liz is torn between her fierce protectiveness for a 14 year old boy set on avenging the death of his mother and her unsettling feelings for the cop who was convicted of killing her. For thirteen years, Liz has kept her faith in Adrian Wall’s innocence. Why is she so drawn to this tormented ex-con? To find answers, Liz must face her demons – and a monster. Deep in the forest, on the altar of abandoned church – the church where her father once preached – a young woman is experiencing the unthinkable….
