deep river
For a 6.2 mile paddle, put in at the Worthville Road (Randolph Co. 2122) Bridge access, and take out at the Loflin Pond Road (Randolph Co. 2221) bridge at Cedar Falls.
Note about the put in: The put in is 100 yards below the Worthville Damn and is in the backwater of the next dam at Central Falls
More about this stretch of the Deep River: This is not for the beginning paddler! There are class II and class III rapids on this paddle, but there are also incredible scenic views!
This route also requires portage of two dams. Portage the 25-foot high Central Falls Dam (mi. 4.5) on the left side around the hydroelectric building. A long rope is useful to help lower boats down the steep bank. Portage the Cedar Falls Dam (mi. 5.8) on the right.
