How it works
When you visit Davie County to complete your Challenge miles, don’t forget to log your activity on our event page at runsignup.com. When you submit your results and log your activity, make sure to add in the comment section that you completed a trail or paddle at a preferred County Trek Spot!! This will make you eligible to win the top spot for Most Adventurous Challenger, given to the individual who travels to the most County Trek Spots across the state!

River park at cooleemee Falls – The Bullhole
Address: 645 Erwin Temple Church Road, Cooleemee, NC

There is kayak access at this hidden gem of a park on the South Yadkin. Take outs are found roughly 5 miles down river, or roughly 11 miles down river at the Hwy 601 boat ramp.
More about The Bullhole: River Park at Cooleemee Falls-The Bullhole is an area of the South Yadkin River where water pours over a man-made dam and proceeds to splash over a large swath of rocks. Bullhole is just behind the old, empty Cooleemee Mill located on the Davie County side of the river.
Farmington Nature Park
Starting Spot: 1723 Farmington Road, Mocksville, NC 27028

Details: The trail begins near the parks entrance. There are approximately 4.5 miles of trail designed for hiking and biking, including a newly built 3 miles of trail thanks to a grant from the Recreational Trails Program.
More Info on Farmington Nature Park: Farmington Nature Park is comprised of four areas: open field, wetlands, woodlands, and creek side. The wetlands area can be accessed either by walking the nature trail or by parking on the lower parking lot and walking behind the community center, and is a great place for bird watching. Cedar Creek offers a great place to go fishing. When hiking the trail, bring along your best fishing pole, a can of worms, and a good chair.

About Rich Park: Kids can enjoy the swings, slides and other updated play equipment. Parents can play too or sit under the covered shelters and enjoy a good book or just relax. Everyone can enjoy a brisk walk or bike ride along the three to four miles of paved trails encircling the park.
