How it works
When you visit Anson County to complete your Challenge miles, don’t forget to log your activity on our event page at runsignup.com. When you submit your results and log your activity, make sure to add in the comment section that you completed a trail or paddle at a preferred County Trek Spot!! This will make you eligible to win the top spot for Most Adventurous Challenger, given to the individual who travels to the most County Trek Spots across the state!

For a 16 mile paddle, put in at the Red Hill access and take out at the Pee Dee Boating Access on Blewett Falls Lake.

Details: Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge offers several trails to explore by either foot or bike. Click here for more information on all of the trails on the PDWF.
More Info on Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge: Located on almost 8,500 acres in Anson and Richmond counties, the Refuge supports a broad range of wildlife species. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on a walk on the trails that wind around the area if you’d prefer enjoy the local trails by foot.

Notes: Enjoy the quiet Loop Trail, which is a manicured 1.7 miles through the woods that connects to Fox Squirrel Trail for a total of 3 miles of trails for exploring.
