The LandTrust has recently completed a farmland protection project on a 75 acre farm owned by Ritchie Mauney. Located in the Millingport community of northern Stanly County, this project compliments past and ongoing farmland projects that are occurring in the area.
Nearly all of the 75 acres are actively farmed producing corn and soybeans from the rich Stanly County soil. Funding for this project was made possible through the USDA’s Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program.
