Photo Contest: Seasons of the Central Piedmont

Welcome to The LandTrust for Central North Carolina’s Photo Contest!

The LandTrust for Central North Carolina is committed to conservation in North Carolina’s central Piedmont. The goal of this photo contest is to highlight the natural beauty of this region.

Theme: Like last year, the theme of our 2018 ‘Photo Contest’ is Seasons of the Central Piedmont. The subject matter can be anything with ties to conservation, natural resources, or outdoor recreation in our 10 county region (Iredell, Davie, Davidson, Randolph, Rowan, Cabarrus, Stanly, Montgomery, Anson, and Richmond). In total, 12 photographs will be selected from the field and adopted as The LandTrust’s official ‘photos of the month’ for the 2019 calendar year.

Entry Period: The Photo Contest begins at 12:00 am on March 1st, 2018 and ends at 11:59pm on May 30th, 2018. Each individual can submit up to 4 photographs. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

All photos will be judged by the LandTrust Staff and Board of Directors. Our staff will evaluate all valid entries and select three (3) winners for each of the following categories:

  • Spring – Photographs that reflect the spirit of spring in the Piedmont. These three photographs will be featured as the official photographs of March, April, and May on the 2019 LandTrust for Central North Carolina calendar.
  • Summer – Photographs that reflect the spirit of summer in the Piedmont. These three photographs will be featured as the official photographs of June, July, and August on the 2019 LandTrust for Central North Carolina calendar.
  • Fall – Photographs that reflect the spirit of fall in the Piedmont. These three photographs will be featured as the official photographs of September, October, and November on the 2019 LandTrust for Central North Carolina calendar.
  • Winter – Photographs that reflect the spirit of winter in the Piedmont. These three photographs will be featured as the official photographs of December, January, and February on the 2019 LandTrust for Central North Carolina calendar.

One (1) overall winner will be selected out of the field of twelve and crowned ‘The LandTrust for Central North Carolina’s Official Photo of the Year!’ The photographer of the ‘photo of the year’ will be awarded a framed copy of their submission with a commemorative plaque heralding their accomplishment!
