Low Water Bridge Hike
Please join Three Rivers Land Trust for our first hiking club event to take place on March 6th!
We will meet on the Land Trust owned Low Water Bridge Property at 9:00am and hike an old woods path past a historical graveyard with graves from the early 1700s. Then we will continue on down to the banks of the Uwharrie River and hike a short distance along the river to see a state champion shortleaf pine tree, one of the 3 largest shortleaf pines in North Carolina. You can also expect to see some early spring wildflowers and possibly even some early migratory songbirds.
Length of hike: ~3 miles
Difficulty level: Easy
The land trust owned property where we will be hiking is not generally open to the public so this is a special treat for those who want to join our hiking club. The first hiking club event is free and after that you must be a land trust member to attend. The hiking club will hike every first Saturday of the month. For more information or if you have questions, please email Crystal at crystal@threeriverslandtrust.org.
