One of North Carolina’s two remaining historic covered bridges, this is an excellent spot to have a picnic or take a short stroll along a quarter-mile walking trail. The bridge was preserved through a partnership between the LandTrust for Central North Carolina, the Piedmont Land Conservancy, the North Carolina Zoo Society, and the NC Department of Transportation.
